The Blues Disciples have been bringing their Blues to the people of the local clubs in the Milwaukee area and the Midwest region since 1990. Founded by "Barefoot" Jimmy Schwarz and Kent "The Colonel" Knapp with the intent of remaining true to the influences of the Chicago electric blues era of the '50's and 60's. Influenced initially by the likes of Little Walter, and Muddy Waters, and then directly by Wisconsin Blues greats Jim Liban and Billy Flynn they forged a sound and band that rose to the top of the Milwaukee Blues scene. Their years of powerful shows every week at Milwaukee Blues fixture, The Up & Under, turned a whole new generation on to the Blues genre. Many years and changes have kept their music fresh, and relevant, while still remaining true to their Blues roots.

"Barefoot" Jimmy Schwarz - His powerful vocals and harmonica have been a signature sound of the band for over a decade. While loaning his talent to other bands including "Jimmy and the Flamethrowers", and "The Blue Rubies" he remains the driving force behind the Disciples

Kent "The Colonel" Knapp - began playing in local bars at only 17 and took his licks, being referred to as the baby, the kid, Jr.,etc. Over the years Milwaukee Blues legends have come to know and respect him. Ten years in New Orleans playing with the best of the local scene (John Carey, Jack Cole) and some great national acts (Bo Diddly) gave him the time and space to refine his unique tone and find his powerhouse voice He returns home to Milwaukee now known as "The Colonel" and is the one throwing the kid cracks to the next in line.

Paul Stilin - Developed his signature guitar tone while living and working in Austin Texas, where he spent many years leading bands in the Lonestar state. The guitarist also lends his talents to Lou Pride when Lou goes on an important tour, and has spent time in Chicago, Memphis and Europe with a variety of regional and national bands.
